Associate Developer

Clay Electric Cooperative, Inc., located in Keystone Heights, Florida, is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Associate Developer. Individuals in this position are responsible for creating and supporting applications and interfaces in support of CEC systems and services. This position requires graduation from an accredited college or university with an Associate Degree in Computer Science, Business or a related field, plus three years of development experience using an object oriented language and one year of .NET development experience in a Microsoft stack. Individuals in this position must also maintain a valid State of Florida drivers’ license.

Essential job functions include identifying improvements and updates for current solutions; Creating new interfaces for or integrating with existing interfaces of CEC systems; Developing specifications for new applications based on requirements; Deploying applications’ solutions to testing and production environments;  Creating systems requirements for productions application environments; and peer review code and providing feedback.

Lineman

Clay Electric Cooperative, Inc. located in Keystone Heights, Florida, is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Lineman.  This position requires a high school certificate or State of Florida GED passing grade plus additional training equivalent to Clay Electric's Lineman Development Training Program and four (4) years of experience in an electric distribution utility, preferably through the progression of Apprentice line work. This position also requires a valid Florida Class A commercial driver's license or a Florida Class A restricted commercial driver's license.

Individuals in positions allocated to this class perform the most advanced and skilled work required in connection with the construction, maintenance, operations and service of transmission, overhead and underground distribution lines, protective equipment, substations and related equipment owned and operated by the Cooperative.

Essential job functions include: Construction and Maintenance of Power Lines. Install, remove, inspect and maintain both overhead and underground lines and equipment. Switching Operations.  Perform switching operations on energized and de-energized lines and equipment, utilizing the Electric Systems Control Manual, UAI system and all safety precautions. Troubleshooting and Outage Restoration.  Working independently or with others, systematically perform all duties associated with troubleshooting lines and equipment to restore electric service and Operation of Equipment.  Operate construction equipment such as line truck, bucket truck, trenchers and other equipment as required.

Engineer – Substation Division

Clay Electric Cooperative, Inc. located in Keystone Heights, Florida, is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Engineer in the Substation division of the Engineering department. This position requires graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering plus two and one half (2 ½) years of related experience. Individuals in this position must maintain a valid State of Florida driver’s license. Experience in the following areas of substation engineering within an electric utility is also preferred: developing substation drawings and schematics, SEL protective relays and communication processors, designing protective relay schemes, physical substation layout design, material/equipment specifications, and National Electrical Safety Code (NESC).
