Students visit Tallahassee as part of Youth Tour program
Thirteen high school juniors participated in Clay Electric's Youth Tour to Washington program on April 8-10.
The students, selected by their respective high schools, traveled to Tallahassee to see the Legislature in session and to take part in a competition to determine the four students who will visit Washington, D. C. in June.
Based on scores from a written exam and speech, the four students who will go to Washington are Lauren Moore of Fleming Island High School (Clay County), Drew Burgett of Santa Fe High School (Alachua County), Clint Williams of Union County High School and Arielle Claude of Williston High School (Alachua County). The alternates chosen are Kaitlin Tedder of Bradford County High School (alternate 1) and Brandon Cumbo of Interlachen High School (alternate 2).
Other students participating in the Tallahassee trip were: Ellen Harrist of Clay High School (Green Cove Springs), Chelsea Collins of Columbia High School, Joshual Paul of Keystone Heights High School, Kaitlin Powers of Middleburg High School, Kyle Freimuth of North Marion High School, Bret Brammer of Orange Park High School and Dylan Kelch of Ridgeview High School (Orange Park).
