Part-Time Customer Service Representative – Salt Springs Office

Clay Electric Cooperative, Inc. is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Part-Time Customer Service Representative for our Salt Springs office. Individuals in positions allocated to this class have contact with the public on a daily basis. This position is viewed as the primary contact with the public, either in person or on the telephone. Primary responsibilities include providing information to customers regarding services available through Clay Electric and maintaining records relating to those services.
This position requires a high school diploma or GED passing grade plus two (2) years of customer service experience or related type of work. Experience in dealing with the public, particularly in a utility environment, is desired. Individuals in this position must maintain a valid State of Florida driver's license. Engineer in Training – Engineering Services

Clay Electric Cooperative, Inc. located in Keystone Heights, Florida, is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Engineer in Training for the Engineering department.  This position requires graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering in electrical, mechanical, industrial, civil, chemical, nuclear or computer science fields. Related course work in Electrical Engineering is preferred.  Applicants should have an understanding of electrical schematics, logic diagrams, control diagrams and other electrical related systems. Responsibilities include performing coordination and reliability assessments of the electrical system.

Power System Operator Trainee

This position requires an AS or AA degree from an accredited college plus two (2) years of experience performing OH/URD line construction and maintenance, substation maintenance or related duties, preferably in a utility environment. Additional specifically related education in a technical or electrical related degree program may substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
Additional related job experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

Engineer in Training – Operations Department

Individuals in positions allocated to this class are assigned entry-level professional and technical work in the field of engineering associated with operational engineering functions. Primary responsibilities include minor project engineering and/or portions of major projects and assisting and developing particular phases of major projects in both systems and operations fields and providing technical support to all operation’s divisions.
Responsibilities may also include performing highly complex technical assignments, making and checking engineering computations, conducting studies resulting in estimates and surveys which will result in statistical reports included in the design of project specifications and problem solving solutions in all areas of operations.
This position requires graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering in electrical, mechanical, industrial, civil, chemical, nuclear or computer science fields.
