Winter Storm Grayson Update

Winter Storm Grayson made its presence known by bringing rain, freezing rain and ice into Clay Electric’s service area Wednesday morning, particularly in areas served by the Lake City District, where the worst of the storm occurred.

As of 2:20 p.m., there were 1,083 accounts in Columbia County and 392 in Baker County without power. 1,528 were out systemwide.

Clay Electric shifted approximately 38 construction personnel to the Lake City District to assist with restoration efforts. Additional contractor crews are on standby and ready to assist.

Members are encouraged to be careful when venturing outdoors in areas impacted by the storm because of the possibility of encountering low-hanging power lines or lines on the ground. Please avoid such areas.

Members who are experiencing an outage may report it online at https://outagereport.clayelectric.com or call 1-888-434-9844.
