Clay Electric members will see an increase in the Power Cost Adjustment, or PCA, beginning with June billing statements due to higher wholesale power costs.
For a member using 1,000 kilowatt-hours of electricity, the monthly bill will increase by about $5, bringing the total to approximately $155. The actual impact will vary depending on each member’s electricity use.
The PCA is a line item on monthly bills that reflects changes in the cost of wholesale power Clay Electric purchases to serve its members. When wholesale power costs rise, those changes are passed through the PCA.
Clay Electric understands that higher costs affect household budgets. The co-op continues to monitor power costs closely and remains focused on providing safe, reliable electric service while managing expenses on behalf of members.
